          Scott Goldberg

          Scott Goldberg

Scott Goldberg is an award-winning correspondent for ABC News in New York, where he anchors the network’s hourly midday radio newscasts – as well as live coverage of breaking news and special events.

He’s known for his creative storytelling and is a two-time recipient of the National Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Writing.

Since joining ABC in 2011, Goldberg has covered a number of important stories, including Hurricanes Irene and Sandy, the manhunt for the Boston Marathon bombing suspects and the last two presidential elections. He also contributes TV reports to NewsOne, the network’s affiliate service.

Before ABC, Goldberg spent more than a decade covering business, political and breaking news for TV stations in the South and Midwest. He covered the economic and political crises in Argentina for a year, for NPR, during an incredibly turbulent time in that country. His work has taken him around the globe, from the U.S. to Latin America, Western Europe and Asia.

Goldberg is the winner of five regional Emmys, for his work in TV, and two regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. He also was part of the ABC team that won national Murrow Awards for Overall Excellence in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

A proud alumnus of Northwestern University, Goldberg was born in Kansas City and now lives in New York City with his wife Lindsay.
